State Police charged an 11-year-old and his parents after the boy lead authorities on a high-speed chase through St. Charles Parish Friday morning.
The chase began around 6:30 a.m. as State Police were conducting speed enforcement on Interstate 310 near Airline Highway, according to Trooper Joseph Piglia, a Troop B spokesman.

State Police radar picked up a 1996 Jeep SUV traveling at 80 mph in a 60 mph zone, and refused to stop or pull over for authorities, Piglia said. The driver of the vehicle went over 100 mph during the chase and at times passed other cars using the shoulder of the road.

Piglia said the driver turned westbound on US 90 and eventually stopped in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant at the corner of US 90 and Ruth Street in Boutte. The boy got out of the car and ran inside calling for his mother.

State Police identified the driver as an 11-year-old juvenile and learned that his parents, 46-year-old Rodney Brown and 32-year-old Leona M. Calloway, allowed him to use the car to drive his disabled father around town for the last six months.

Piglia said the 11-year-old was charged with felony flight from an officer, driving without a license, reckless operation of a vehicle, speeding, passing on the shoulder and improper lane usage. The boy???s parents were charged with improper supervision of a minor and allowing an unlicensed minor to drive a vehicle.

Don't even lie, you can't do 120mph in that car. Unless you've gone metric and meant kmph.

Stop trying to bullshit everyone, it gets old and makes you look dumb.

They should have jumped on the hood and shot him.

it was in louisiana not ohio

I'm suprised they didn't wait until he slowed down, the jump on the hood of his car and shoot him 5 times in the eye.

lol ur obviously a fucking moron if thaats what u think. msby not 120 but im going pretty close cuz my speedometer stops at 100

Calm down and stop stuttering, though I didn't know it was possible to stutter while typing.

Let's do some simple math.

120 - 100 = 20

It seems that you are lying about 20mph at a minimum as I doubt you have done any meaningful modifications to that POS.

Stay in math class, and maybe sign up for basic English.

alright my car was made in 1988 so the speedometer stops at 100. i keep going faster after i hit 100 so im obvioulsy doing above 110.

Ah, but then you've got wind resistance and friction. I think most speedometeres are calculated via the rolling road, so with the built in safety/innacuracy margin of (-) 5-9 mph + wind resistance and friction, you would have been lucky to hit 100mph.

I've had my car up to around 110 ( i estimate) and it was not pleasant (although fun), the front started to feel light, and thats a 99 WRX.

Where did you do that in NYC?

Why bother?

He is full of shit with most things he has said on this site.

Exactly, there's so much traffic here that by the time you hit 60 your already stuck in traffic.

Maybe he was talking about a video game?

I guess the only reason you'd want to own a prestige car in NYC, would be to impress the chicks.

Unless you wanted to battle through the traffic for an hour to hit the open road........

scared to do 80? i do 120 in a 1988 car thats falling apart lol
I got my mom's 89 vette past 120 plenty of times when I was a teen, but how the hell do you get a hoopty to go that fast in the city?
