Just wondering how many of you out there have tried something like this.

Lift heavy for a few weeks, then switch to light with more reps, then moving it up to moderate weight and finally lifting heavy again.

Just wondering if i should change my routine up a bit every few weeks or so in this manner. I currently change the exercies up every 6 to 8 weeks, but wondering if this would help as well. kind of in a plateau with my chest, and might try this out. also read this in a book.

example:
light: 10 to 15 reps (for two weeks)
moderate: 8 to 12 reps (for two weeks)
heavy: 6 to 8 reps (for two weeks)
then repeat, or switch routine up a bit

Depends on what your goal is. There are all different schemes depending on you specific goal.. Power.. Strength...Hypertrophy etc.. If you dont have a specific goal, then you goal should be not doing the same thing all the time. The same lifts, same sets, same reps, same tempo. etc.
