Does exercising a certain body part increase fat loss in that particular area?

specific bodypart exercises do not increase fat loss in that area...example: doing numerous ab exercises do not increase fat loss in the ab area....
 
This wishfull thinking is called spot reduction, and supposedly is not possible.

Yup it sucks but it is a myth, you will loose the body fat from your extremities first and for most men, the belly will be last, hips for the ladies. :(

Some people store fat differently, for me I store more in my lower back area for others, they get man boobs.

Hahaha, not really but even though I don't have a low BF level (around 15%) I still have not a bad set of abs showing.

When I was fatter, I was starting to get a set of love handles. :lol:

In fact, building muscle under all that fat (if you have a high BF)
will actually make you look fatter. :(
