I'm gonna be 35 this year, & would like to start TRT. When would be a good time to bring it up, cuz I figure their gonna want to test you.

Maybe afew weeks after you come off?
After PCT?

Your test may possibly be on the low end at 35, but it's not definite. Even if it is it may still be within "range" and disqualify you for trt (even if it's low enough for you to feel like shit). If you cycle already I would just go in and get tested like 3 weeks after your last injection of a long ester. Unless your dosages are very high this should be plenty of time for your test to fall and not enough for you to really begin to recover. You can start pct even though clomid will raise your test levels quite a bit, I don't think one week will be enough to bring you within normal ranges.

Getting tested first thing in the AM is when your test will be highest, but that's not really what you want. They may force you to however, though I doubt it will make a huge difference at this stage. Above all ASK for the blood test. Free and total test, LH,FSH, estradiol etc. You can say "oh I have no sex drive and no energy and I'm depressed" and they may just give you an SSRI. If you ask and force them to, they will give you the test. They work for you remember :)

Not sure how normal FSH, LH and E2 levels look on a TRT patient or a TRT canidate. But wouldn't they be different than someone who just came off cycle?

It might throw your doctor for a loop and make him think something is extremely wrong with you. I honestly have no idea but if it were me, I'd come off cycle and do a proper PCT. I'd wait a 8 weeks and see how my levels looked. If they are low, go to the doc. If not, I'm not sure that I would start TRT. If you are dead set on it, just go to the doctor after the next cycle.

After coming off cycle LH and FSH should be very low, this can also be the case in someone with low T that's not AAS related. Estradiol I think would depend on exactly the amount of time since last injection and whether you're using an AI, but if it's high that can also cause low test, and if it's low that can be a result of low test I believe. Either way I don't think anything about that test would disqualify you from TRT, and at least would give your doc and you some more info about yourself that may come in handy in the future. For trt purposes only maybe just Free and total test would be enough?

My doc was all about getting me some test cyp. My test results came back at 172 total test. That's quite low, especially for someone who is 33. I have an appointment to retest in two months.

Just ask for the test. If you're ripped and swole you are alot less likely to get any love from doctors. Ask anyway and try to be agreeable the 1 st time to.any suggestions he makes. Wait a few mos and go back if he says no.

When you have bloodwork in hand before seeing a specialist that shows your T levels below range...

But ideally it would be after cycle with no pct..your diagnostic values will be in the gutter

Don't try to go into it blindly...research...research... ;)

On TRT your FSH and LH are almost nill. Basically this is one way to determine if you are primary or secondary hypogonadism.

I have used test for 23yrs off and on. I started trt at age 36. I'm 42 now. I let my doc know my history and that if I try coming off that I never regain sex drive or energy, and I get depressed. I did no blood work or testing of any kind. my doc just prescribed me a low dose of test cyp, well he said enanthate, but I told him I prefer cyp, so cyp is what I get. My story is pretty true though.
