Europe furious, 'shocked' by report of U.S. spying

Did they think they were above our foreign surveillance inteligence act or our "telephony metadata"

apparently they had forgotten what the capitalists/fascists in the US were all about.

Americans are just all around winners.

we dominate.

It's a good thing that none of the EU governments spy on their people or other nations. :funny:

they don't. they have no vested financial interests but the US has the most MNEs all over the world. the Italian Intelligence Service, Swedish Security Service or the Dutch (MVID), etc. don't give a shit about what's going on in the US. you need to get out of the bubble more DOMS and see the world for the way it REALLY is. it's not even illegal to attempt to break out of prison in the Netherlands. you don't know jack about the world outside of the US.

fascism was crushed in most of the EU during WWII only the US and UK have kept it alive in the West and the rising police states in both country's are proof positive of that.

And the joke just keeps rolling on...

You don't think that other countries spy on the US? Why, because they're not the US? And you have the gall to say that I don't know anything about the world outside the US?

Holy shit, you're hilarious.

why would they? they own less than 2% of US T Notes. they have no vested interest in the success or failure of the US, they do not purchase goods or services from us so why would they care? they don't even come here for travel anymore.

I've been traveling to the EU since the 80's and most people from that part of the world don't even want to come here to visit. there's nothing here they can't get at home or from a neighboring country.

the ONLY people that have bought into the "American" way of life is American's...the rest of the world rejected it 50 years ago and their attitudes haven't changed.

why would they?

Because they're not stupid? Because they know that you don't trust anyone else 100%? It's funny how you are willing to absolutely vilify the US, but you'll give everyone else a free pass to the point of idiocy.

They don't need to spy on us. We have enough decent people already in the right places to blow the whistle on what we are doing. Besides, we're pretty transparent, policy-wise. We want everyone to cater to us and play the game by our rules.

they know exactly what's going on in the US and it's exactly why the EU with the exception of the UK has not adopted any neo-liberal economic policies or allowed the private sector to become more powerful than the state. they have all been down that road before and have no desire to repeat mistakes of the past that most country's over there learned first hand.
