"The Institute for Southern Studies is a non-profit media and research center that advocates for PROGRESSIVE political and social causes in the Southern United States"
doing a study knowing what they want the outcome to be is not very creditable.
Well what is credible is historical wage data. And starting with Texas at #26 the highest ranking "Right to work" for less wage states, they all rank in the bottom 50% in the US for per capita and household income. The stated with the lowest union density rates, all rank at the dead bottom for income with one exception Virginia at #7 but that state is loaded with government employees and private firms that cateer directly to the federal government.
that's what it gets you, low wages nothing more...
public sector union employees are way over paid.
According to who?
According to who?
according to me. look into it a little further
according to me. look into it a little further
you're forgetting wages and the cost of living are different around the US. And union workers make up only 11% of the total work force in the US. that's an extremely low percentage.
public sectors unions have more members than private unions. public sector union employees are way over paid.
This is right to a point. The amount of money anyone makes is proportional to how much you spend on basic needs. Anything beyond that is actually profit regardless of your political proclivities. If you spend less than you acquire, you make a profit. Basic needs are all that count in this area, a desire for your kids all to own ipads doesn't. Im sorry if you don't understand this but it's a fact of life. No one any where in any economic system is going to ever care more for the employees than the bottom line. If you think it's better anywhere else on earth then you have every right to go there. Im just saying don't be shocked to find yourself elsewhere and still in the same shape.
