It's a lot cheaper to buy 70/30 bulk ground beef which has 350 calories, 30 grams of fat, 19 grams of protein, and 0 carbs than leaner beef. $10 for 5 pounds!
Of course, it has too much fat, so I like to cook it then drain it. Then cook it some more in water then drain it again.
Does anyone know a more or less accurate way to guess the macros?
I know that it still can't have 30 grams of fat. Also, it comes out looking leaner than 93% lean ground beef which has 170 calories, 8 grams of fat, and 23 grams of protein. Could this method be reducing fat grams to less than 8 grams?
If so, why doesn't everyone do this?
