Lem'me catch you all up with Project AF1. I started taking it apart and gutting out everything.

I then started by adding a blow hole to the front. Later I'll add a rubber edging to it to cover up the rough edges.

And I created a tunnel with a couple of old 80mm fans and spray painted them chrome.

Then I put 'em all together and did...

Then I added some diamond plate steel on the right side. Plexi will go on top.

Then I used chrome paint on the inside of the case.

And prepped the steel to cover the drive bays.

The I added the new Power supply.

with_pwr.jpg

And cut a hole in the diamond plate steel on the right side so you could see the PSU.

Then I made a grill MOD with thin adhesive foil for some of the fans with the Counter Strike image.

I added a hole to the bottom of the case for intake and have put in the mobo. I put in the CD drives and floppy drive. I also am using 1 stick of 512 MB Kingston DDR 333 Hyper X till I get my 1GB in the mail of DDR 400. My new motherboard is the IC7 Max-3. I'll have a 120GB WD HD and a P4 2.8Ghz processor.

I added a rim to the blow hole. Could of sworn I had a pic with the lights on.

Then I added a 5.25" HD cooler for my WD 120GB

Then some shots of the interior so far.

And with the lights off.

But anyways, more updates. Here's the front after I added the Stealthed CD/DVD drives. I'm still waiting to put in my LCD.

I bought the Koolance Exos for this computer, but got the black one. So I painted it to match my case.

I'll be hiding a lot of the wiring with this conduit cable that I got at Lowes.

Here's my window before pic.

I wanted to go with silver, so I sanded it down and....

Lside_after.jpg

Same thing with the right side. I sanded it down and added a sticker to it.

flag_panel.jpg

I will be using the Koolance on this system as said before. I gave it a 24 hour test run and got....

koolance_on.jpg

I did more work on the right panel too.

I'm still not done with this panel though.

Nice work! you definitely have something to show off.

Is it obsolete yet?

Well it does look fancy, but can it make toast?

22 Celcius at idle and 39 Celcius under full load.

The specs are: 2.8Ghz P4, 1GB DDR 400 Ram, 120GB Western Digital HD, and 2 DVD drives.

More done on AF1.

I mounted the koolance exos on the case.

with_kool.jpg

And I installed the heatsink.

Then I tried using a small piece of acrylic for the air plane but I think it looks worse. Maybe I'll use fishing line.

I bought a Matrix Orbital LCD and got the internal USB connector for it, but cannot figure where to put it. The directions that it came with only had instructions for external plug-in.

TGS... Now that you have a super computer, are you going to get DSL so you can stop by IM more? lol

So far, so good. Here's where I am. The computer is essentally completed and is up and running. Mater of Fact, it's the macing I'm using to post these pics.

The only thing left is to work on the right panel with the tribal flag.

new_front.jpg

And for some reason I can't get my Matrix Orbital to work, but I will mess with it some more till and hopefully get it working.

Below is the Hard drive temp.

new_front1.jpg

The Koolance shows the processor temp.

new_front2.jpg

And inside the left panel. You can see how I cleaned up the wiring and used more diamond plate steel to cover up the drive cages.

Then the right side without the panel which I'm still working on.

Hopefully I'll be completely finished in a week.
