IML Gear Cream!
Hey guys and gals. Well a couple years ago, December 2003, I broke my wrist (...playing football...). Now that I am interested in getting in shape a little I can feel it holding me back. Basically, I don't want to start getting in shape and leaving my right forearm out of wack. Because whenever I do any sort of exercise involving the right wrist it feel horrible. Even 5 pound wrist curls hurt it and I can feel damage. It's completely healed and all but I can feel it damaged. Therefore, the question is, how do you all get around injuries?

Before you make jokes, it doesn't hinder XBox playing, Book reading, or any other activity...

How much rehab did you run on it, after the break??

Maybe it's just never been put to the test?

After I broke my arm, it took me a year of pain to get it normal again
But now it's stronger than the ever!!!!

Have you been to a specialist to see what they say. That would be first for me. then after you could post what he or she says and then maybe someone could give you a better answere. i'm sure this is not what your were looking for but probably the best solution to your question.

i broke mine and never did anything its just always been weaker than my right but its not very noticable anymore

I never did any rehab. The doctor told me to put it in a splint for about 2 months which I did, and it healed just fine, atleast I thought. It has not really prevented me from doing anything up until now.

And to the specialist thing, no I haven't but that would definitely make sense to make sure I am able to do it, but truly I have never had any problems other then this.

If anyone else has had this, would be great to converse. When you hold your right hand palm down, it hurts about an inch down from the joint on the right side, one of two spots I broke it.

Thanks everyone

Dirty, filthy monkey :yell:

Hey bro if your bleeding from your ears during benching, try what monkey did. turn on your side and bench with one dumbell. he claims he now only bleeds now from the side down. I see his point bleeding from one ear only could possibly help. What I don't know.
Now my answere would be refrain from dropping the weight on the head. Use more control on the negative. Oh by the way Tyson stayed in his corner after the 6th round was over. they took two pts from him for intentional head butting. At least the guy only has a cut on his head vs. missing an ear!

Mark my words you will never hear of the bum McBride again.....except for when he gets KO"d by a top ten Boxer :thumb:

Probably not, beating a 45 year old wash up looking for a way to get out of debt is not much...though doesn't hurt to go into the rep. incase he does go larger, doubt it though, your right definitely.

Though, that's taking absolutely nothing away from Tyson's past...past fights...and only taking a little away from McBride victory, though he won, atleast he didn't lose huh?

If it only hurts on exercises where you intentionally bend at the wrist... then don't worry about it. You'll be totally fine with compound movements... you don't NEED to directly work your forearms, as they will grow with the other muscles in lifts that use your forearms.

If it hurts doing other COMPOUND exercises, like benching, barbell rowing, etc.. then yeah, maybe go talk to someone about it.
