after posting one does not find the thread in 'new posts'

I just put in a reply to a thread. When one did this before, and afterwards clicked on 'new posts' one would find that post at(or near the top) of the list.

Not anymore.

It's just happened with this one-- nowhere to be found...........

Well this time the(this) post DID appear in 'New Posts' so maybe it is now working............

nice pic in your sig nick. n it does that to me too. with firefox which i usually prefer to use a lot of images won't show up including my own sig n i get these error messages in java script console Error: Expected ':' but found 'left'. Declaration dropped.

did you read the other thread? I believe rob said you would have log out and then log back in to get those threads that you posted in to show up on the new post page.
