Definately stay from thermogenics like ephedra if it is leagal to use in your state.
Gensing? Not sure how this supp. works. It causes my heart rate to increase so I stay away during training.
Most energy supps. I am aware of work by raising heart rate and temprature. This is good for burning fat and keeping you alert but not safe for use during stressful exercise.
My advise, learn about good types of carbohydrates and begin carbing up now. This energy source is a sure thing. Stay away from sugars, alocohol, hi gi foods that will spike your insulin. Definately have a good breakfast and try to keep eating every 3-4 hours (give an hour before practice and don't eat too much) You will feel great and save a lot of money in the process.
