hello everyone, been awhile since i posted but here i go. Today in the gym i was going a seated millitaryh press with 65's. On my third set i was going for one more rep and my right shoulder like somewhat crunched (or thats the sound that how i could explain it). Know after a few hours the workout i feel a very strong and uncomfotable pressure/sharp pain in my right shoulder. Just wondreing if anyone knows what to do for this or any recomendations what to do.

what to do....

rest
ice
more of the same

seriously....rest..ice.

if the pain doesn't go away in a weeks time, you might want to consider going to see a specialist.

Ditto to what Patrick said. Also make sure you avoid lifting your arm above the plane of your shoulder for any movement unless you absolutely have to. That means no overhead reaching or lateral raise type movements, because they will likely irritate it even more.

I had the exact same thing about 2-3 months ago, Im a lot more flexible than most people but I just didnt lift and within a week I was like new

REST

The same thing happen to me about 3 years back. Only i didnt rest, went on with my routine for the next couple of weeks. After a month of that SHARP pain, i went to my phyisian. Outcome I had a slight tear in a ligament in my right shoulder, after 3 months of NO LIFTING, it went back to normal

Sounds like it might be bad, not a muscle tear but more like a tendon or ligament. Rest, Ice and take allot of time off. I would take 2 full weeks off all lifting. If you feel great after than then do a light workout just to see how you feel in the gym. If it is not better you are looking at a month or more off at least and you must go see a sports doctor.

Pain management for my lower back

I am looking for Pain management for my lower back. I can't even live my normal life anymore the pain is so bad. I heard Tramadol, Ultram, Fioricet work wonders for pain management. What is the best pain Management? If anyone knows of a good website to help me out with pain Med's, I do not have insurance and the Dr. Office visits hurt my wallet more than the pain. I would appreciate it.

Take the advice in your signature "don't be silly."

Suck it up and pay for the Doctors appointment. You are an idiot if you think you can stop debilitating lower back pain yourself.

Lower back pain is nothing to play with. You will be hurting both ways, your walet and the back when you can't get out of bed to go to work.

Probably the biggest reason I lift is because I got tired of lower back pain. After seeing doctors and physical therapist... I wanted to do my part. However, I don't think I would have been able to do it without them. I also rely on them if I do something to screw up my back again.

With that attitude you deserve to be in pain. What good is money if youre laid up in bed permenantly because your back pain evolved into sciatica or something worse?
